The received wisdom apparently goes: as you get older you get more Right Wing, more disposed to religion and more inclined to embrace the establishment. How true is this?

The Fox and the Hair
At a certain point in a person’s life, it seems, their hair sometimes turns to shit. When you were 18, your hair was shiny and lustrous: what went wrong? (If your answer is, ‘It fell out!’, we’re talking at cross purposes.)
My hair used to be very greasy in my 20s, but it got better. Alas, in the last couple of years, it’s gone down the greasy track again. I know it’s not just me—I was talking to someone who’s had the same thing a while back, and her conclusion was, it’s a result of getting older. I’m not inspired by this theory.

Nothing to report on the house move situation! We’re still expecting to view somewhere fairly soon. It’s a first floor two-bedroom flat. The price is right. The location isn’t. But I’m coming to terms with the idea a bit. Having more money = new computer, for instance, so there are benefits!

Movin’ On
Still working on getting rid of my flat. Moved a lot of stuff back home, but will need a van for bigger stuff. Feel a bit stupid to have wasted so much money on a move that never quite worked out, but still. When I finally do move to my own place, I think it basically has to be (a) when I’m more financially stable and independent and (b) somewhere else in the country, probably down South. Meantime, things should be okay-ish here, and at least money will be less tight.
Big decisions! Well, not really. I’m trying to decide if I should have something done with my crappy hair. I’ve been advised to have it shorter and maybe with a fringe. I’m not sure I like this idea…

Did I mention I’m thinking of having some blonde added to the front of my hair? Time for something different. Maybe on my one non-bad hair day this year! Anyway, it’s a look I like, unless my friendly neighbourhood stylist talks me out of it!
I finally booked the moving of the rest of my stuff into the flat for Thursday the 22nd. It’s costing £40, so a tenner less than it might’ve been.
