Worry Not

The received wisdom apparently goes: as you get older you get more Right Wing, more disposed to religion and more inclined to embrace the establishment. How true is this?

I’m finding that as I get older I get more Left Wing, more staunchly atheist and more rampantly anarchistic. Should I be worried?

Another thing: someone in the States told me that my hair in bangs (those Yanks can’t call it a fringe like normal people) makes me look ‘older, but more professional.’ Again, should I be worried? 😉

  1. ooooh! Is THAT what bangs are? those crazy yanks! have to agree that I’m definitely more solidly against organised religion despite being in the second half of my fourth decade. Politics… well, this job has been a real eye-opener and I’m more dissillusioned with the entire (narrowing)uk political spectrum.

2004 snogs from andy – over the hill, but not too far away ;o)

  2. I too find myself becoming politically more radical as I get older. It’s the one’s who do get more Tory that you should be worrying about.

  3. I guess, on a serious note, I do worry about them, because there’s an awful lot of ’em. Some of them still call themselves Socialists and seem quite oblivious to the shift in their attitudes. Anarchy has never seemed more relevant—or, sadly, less likely…
