Went to Merryhill today, as I hadn’t been for a few months. This requires me to get a bus into Dudley first, as no nearby buses go straight to Merryhill itself. Strictly Window Shopping

Shopping Day today. Choice of venue: Birmingham. I rather like doing this on a Thursday, and thankfully, my sexy government fandango being on temporary hiatus meant nothing cramped my style. 😉

In Waterstone’s, I spotted This is Orson Welles. This is a collection of interviews Peter Bogdanovich conducted with the great man, plus extracts from the Touch of Evil memo, etc. I almost bought it. Since mom has angina, the strain on her heart was a bit of a worry, but she was okay after a while. It wasn’t strong enough here to shake any pictures from the wall or break any ornaments, but it was very hairy.

I bought myself a floppy, navy blue hat. And some gloves. Needed new gloves. Just thinking about the weather. So boring practical retail therapy at that!
