I guess I don’t pursue journalism as aggressively as I should. But at least I occasionally get good ideas; I sent a couple of moderately decent ideas to a certain film magazine a couple of months ago. Sadly, I heard nothing back.
So I picked up their current issue the other day (it’s been out two or three weeks now), and found one of my ideas right there! It was a Top Ten thingy. Obviously, this was a complete coincidence. Great minds think alike, etc. Still, I wish they’d have written back to say, ‘Sorry, we already thought of that, honest!’ Um, yes.
