Doctor Two
Oh, my giddy aunt!
Oh, my giddy aunt!
Okay, it’s been a little while, but continuing the Who caricature theme… this one wasn’t the easiest. Peter’s quite ordinary and lacking in majorly distinctive features that you can play broadly. I think I did okay!
Well, here’s a third effort in my Doctor Who pic series.
I’ve been encouraged to try more DW caricatures, per previous post. So here’s Pertwee.
Well, it’s fair to say last year’s Capaldi debut series of Doctor Who got me thinking about the show quite a bit. And he’s a great Doctor. Shame about the scripts, for the most part. The reminder to watch lots of Jon Pertwee and Tom Baker shows was a positive, anyhow.
I’ve been thinking about experimenting with caricature styles, so, for a quickie (took about an hour, I guess), I had a go at Capaldi.
I sometimes forget, but it’s nice to remember Jack on his birthday.
Bonus pinup while waiting for new narrative, ain’t it.
Jack “King” Kirby would’ve been 92 today. He passed away on Feb 6th 1994.
My latest attempt at being creative: a portrait of Jack Kirby’s Darkseid character.
Ho-hum. Not too much to say right now, but trust me, I’ll have a damn good try. The dog wasn’t too well again today, but it doesn’t appear to be anything real bad (relatively speaking; and yep, I know, this blog has become Animal Hospital lately).
Paul Gravett was in town last Thursday, so we met up for a coffee and a look around Birmingham. Me, socialising. But not very much. 🙂
