“Tres Chic”
Club Comicana is back by popular demand! No, really. Well, work on graphic novel variant is stalled for the time being. This one is a quickie, a bit different & looser in style. So tell me if it’s a mistake or not.
Comics
In March 2012, I have mostly…
Okay, I thought I’d try to offer a bit of rambling. As I’ve said before, I do keep intending to write more often. I have a few ideas but it hasn’t been coming together so far.
What I’ve been watching: season two of Lost Girl. Intellectually (hah), I’m sure this show doesn’t hold up for a second. And yet, I love it loads. It’s been getting better and better lately—I watched eps 19-20 last night. Also enjoying the Nikita reboot, and again, it’s a ‘leave your brain at the door’ deal, but I don’t have a problem with that. Maggie Q is great and Xander Berkeley is always fun to watch. What has not grabbed me, although I’ve only watched two (or is it three?) eps, is season two of The Walking Dead. Yeah, yeah, season one was quite good. It’s nothing George Romero hadn’t already done in 1978 and 1985 but, the atmosphere and pacing was solid. This time round I’m struggling to care.

Club Vamporama Cover Pencils
Okay, haven’t blogged for a while. Here’s the news…
The Webcomic incarnation of Club Comicana/Vamporam may be developed as a ‘proper’ comic, or should that be graphic novella, running roughly 45 pages, drawn on larger paper and with more care and attention. The official title is Club Vamporama (volume one).
I completed the pencils for a possible cover today! This might be inked by John McCrea at some point.
Kid Marie Concept Drawing
This is a quick concept drawing I did on the idea of a ‘kiddie’ version of Comicana (mused over previously here). Click to enlarge.
Bette’s Comin’
While not working further on the Comicana comics stuff lately (soon soon SOON), I have been busy with other stuff. I am overall happy with how things have been progressing. More as and when I can divulge.
Oh, but I have to tell you…
Bette Noir and the Others: “Walls Come Down” (1980)
(Or: me pretending to be a rock star on a fake album cover. You decide.)
