It is, alas, exactly how I am feeling lately. Lacking in any foundation of purpose or direction—trying to find answers, ideas, things to boost my self-esteem, but failing consistently. Well, they say, turn the angst into art! Sure—it doesn’t make me feel better (catharsis, what’s that?!), but it does produce WORK… I hesitate to say ART… and that’s something, right?!
That cartoon is so simultaneously comical and tragic that I almost feel guilty laughing.
I agree with you Norris, and yes Chrissie, getting this drawn and out on paper is work and art and self-expression.

Very nice. Can definitely see the Crumb influence, and perhaps even the world weariness of some Underground works. Sorry you’re feeling like this, though.
