Not only a great Doctor, but a fantastic post-series Timelord. In common with his predecessors (particularly Jon Pertwee, “my” Doctor), Tom knew how to switch from the genial explorer of space and time to the deadly serious arbitor of cosmic justice, a trick which frequently evaded those who followed.
