A Guarantee of Nothing

I did call about my computer on Monday. And… uh… the company we got it from has liquidated, and the takeover people aren’t honouring old warranties! What this means to me: (a) I will probably need, at some point, to pay for a new 160gb hard drive and either figure out how to fit it myself or pay someone to do it for me; (b) I’m stuck on my old computer for the time being.

Hey, I knew there’d be a good reason for not dumping this old thing on a nearby tip! 😉

On the doggie front: he had his first jabs this week. This means he still can’t go outside for another three weeks or so, which is rather tiring—he has boundless energy and little outlet for it in this cramped flat. At least he’s starting to do most of his business on the paper strewn all over the place. Puppies are cute, but I’ll be glad when he’s matured a bit. Oh, and the name thing… due to mom’s failure to call him anything else, we’re forced to go with Fred Junior. What the hell. I have a feeling he’s not bothered either way!

Okay, so I’m an ebay seller now. I realised I could use my debit card the same as a credit card (someone had incorrectly told me it wouldn’t work over the phone or online). I’m selling some of the DVDs I mentioned a while back. Feel free to bid! [Note added later: auction’s over now, so you can’t!]
