First entry of the year, eh? What took so long? Well, let’s see… I had this short but gruelling tour of book-signings to promote my latest best-seller, followed by a short break in Italy and a couple of extravagant shopping sprees. I’ve been a bit busy!
Hm. So I tried the interesting version. I don’t think anyone bought it, though. Oh well.
I’ve been a little preoccupied with mom’s health, which hasn’t been too good in recent weeks. She’s in hospital at the moment, because one of her test results went haywire (she had a kidney transplant in 1990, and she has to be monitored regularly). Not sure when she’s coming out… but I hope she improves as a result of whatever treatment she’s getting. This is her first hospital stay since 1995, which is something, I guess.
Life has otherwise been uneventful, so there’s not been much to say. I still haven’t seen Lord of the Rings or Harry Potter, dammit. Maybe next week. Oh, I’m off! I’ll be back when there’s something interesting to comment on (or moan about!). See ya.
