Yup, almost two weeks since last entry, and I wish there was a lot to report, but it’s been mostly a time of thinking, along with a fair bit of reading. I’ve just read the first collection of Arthur Conan Doyle’s Sherlock Holmes stories, which are very entertaining. I’ll probably read the others when I have chance, but I have a lot of other stuff to read, too.
I think I’m reading more because, for quite some time, I’ve really not read much at all, at least not in terms of fiction. And since I claim my business is words (or rather, I would like it to be), it seems odd that I read so little. I wonder if it accounts in part for my lack of inspiration; it’s all too easy to blame this on other things.
As to my search for immediate money-making schemes: I’m still short of ideas and not awfully hopeful in the short term. The best I can say for myself is that at least I’m not wasting my time in an entirely unconstructive manner at the moment.
