Hmmm. Just watched Lost. Did see all of series one and found it reasonably entertaining, but only about four episodes so far of series two. (I missed the Doctor Who finale too! Not watching nearly as much TV lately. Maybe not a bad thing.)
Anyway, Lost is worrying me. Some of this episode was getting a bit preachy. I think it’s an aspect that’s always been kinda there, but not annoyingly so. What I’m starting to think, though, is that if this slow-moving show ever reaches some point of conclusion, the obvious potential outcome—they’re all really dead and stuck in some limbo; they finally get free and head off for Heaven/Hell—will be the one they go for.
And I might have wasted all that time watching three or four series (actually, they say they have enough ‘plot’—what fucking plot?!—to run for eight series, but I don’t see it getting that far), only to find in the end that it’s trying to bloody well sell me Christianity!
I think I’ll give series three a miss altogether, unless anything persuades me that this, in fact, isn’t the show’s agenda after all.
One of the writers on Lost is Jeph Loeb. Surely that’s just one reason amongst many to avoid watching that rubbish? I can’t imagine why anyone would willingly chose to watch such ineptly crappy, would-be-Twin-Peaks, shite in the first place.
Sorry but I’m with Ed and the ‘new’ Dr Who is shite also. Fuck the hype! To be honest, now it’s reality season taher than crime & Hospital season, the only prog I’ve enjoyed is the Scottish comedy ‘Still Game’.
Mind you, I am a depressed, self destructive looney.
Charles Dickens is keeping me roughly on the straight and narrow at the mo.
Glad you had some company Chrissie and hope things move on ok for you.

“Mind you, I am a depressed, self destructive looney.”
You’d have to be to not like the new Dr. Who, Andy Luke of Livejournal Fame! Did you not see the episode with the line about:
“…and how will you do that FROM BEYOND THE GRAVE?”
That Still Game ain’t funny, and is rubbish as well.
Wrong Andy, Ed!
