So now Blair is banning Happy Hours in pubs? Have I heard this right? My reaction: at least, for once, this new initiative isn’t one of the endless stream of ploys to screw more money out of people (to consolidate some of Brown’s humongous debts)… but it’s still another instance of asserting a growing degree of control over people’s lives. *sigh*
Can I just briefly say that Tony Blair is a bastard and all politicians are scum? I’ve said it before, but I’m worried I might not be allowed to do it before long. Thanks.
Okay, I was pleased that Ms. Cannon Balls didn’t win I’m a Celebrity. Pathetic cow. I wasn’t bothered otherwise.
I picked up the DVD of Dreamcatcher yesterday, slated for viewing Wednesday night. I liked Stephen King’s book okay, even if was a mean and nasty thing, written during his recovery from a car accident. I don’t have high hopes for the film, but since Morgan Freeman’s in it, it’s probably worth a spin.
This is as interesting as I can get right now, so I’ll see ya later!
When you view Mr Blair’s actions from the context that he is religous then everything falls into place.
I’ve never met someone who is religious who doesn’t tell others how they should live their lives.
Notice how all those with a different point of view have been removed from the cabinet and any position of power.
Living in a new improved Blair world is something I dread.
Well, religion was always about control—a way of inducing the ignorant masses to behave by invoking the ultimate higher power. Blair’s a bonafide control freak, and hey, God’s on his side!
And it’s working so well, isn’t it? I mean, crime’s right down, no more shootings (let alone more, perish the thought) since gun amnesty, etc. No more fat people soon, cos that’s becoming more or less illegal now. Unemployment’s right down too, and this has nothing to do with forcing people to do shit that’s of no use to them or anyone else (and it isn’t actually costing the country a massive fortune to fudge the figures either, honest).
Yeah, great work Tony, keep it up…
