Orson at the NFT

The National Film Theatre is holding an Orson Welles retrospective this month and October. I’m very tempted to go to one of their showings of the 1998 restored version of Touch of Evil. (I still need to figure out how to order the DVD from America, as we should be getting a player finally, after the move.) Probably can’t afford it, tho’.

I read about this at Wellesnet. Well worth a look, if you’re interested in the man and his work.

Thought to self: perhaps a new top ten films list is in order one of the days. My recent viewing of ToE makes me feel I like it a lot more than Kane, and perhaps I would put it at number one right now…
