For a while, we’d been letting Tikki go on ‘dates’ with other Westies. Finally, early in May this year she met a lad named Ollie and there was a successful pairing. We just wanted Tikki to have the experience of motherhood the one time, and intended to keep at least two of the litter so she’d have a couple of companions.

This is a portrait of one of Tikki’s Westie Twitter friends from Ireland, who sadly passed away recently, a month or so after his 14th birthday.
It’s another quickie just to say, the Tickster is celebrating her fifth birthday today.
It’s been done before, with the late, great Fred back in the day. But this is Tikki’s first-ever pre- and post-groom blog! So, to the photos!
First up, Tikki back on September 24th. You can see the attitude here—“A groom? I think not. I’m good.”
But the dreaded day of October 9th came, and there was surely no escape…
And I’ll be in Wales! But it reminds me, speaking of dog pics, that last year we did a very cute picture of Ms Tikki for Halloween and it wasn’t posted here. Maybe we’ll do another spooky* one this year too, but meanwhile here is the wonder of last year’s pic…
