TrackBack’s gone. For now. Notwithstanding the fact that it seems wildly unlikely anyone would ping one of my entries, plus the fact that traffic here is at a profound All-Time Low, I’m still sceptical about its uses.
Movable Type is very dumb as far as removing TrackBack settings from old entries goes. I had to edit each one (about 30 of them) individually. Is there a good reason why this can’t be done via a checkbox on the ‘list entries’ screen? I doubt it. Very annoying.
If anyone out there—is there anyone out there?—can give me a reason why TrackBack is wonderful and my life is incomplete without it, please do!
