So we collected an A1 size printed version of the lovely, if I do say so myself, Club Vamporama poster (as seen here) yesterday… it’s now ready in a frame for Sunday’s shoot with Melyza Fay, who will be playing Jude, Bette Noir’s PA and confidante. Voila!
(Excuse quality & reflections. Best I could manage right there. More soon!)
Yep, we held rehearsal on the short film “All Bad Things” yesterday (at the ever-wonderful Robannas)—which, I think, went well, in spite of my having no sleep the night before (a combination of extreme heat and a hyperactive mind). I was like unto the living dead initially, but broke the sleep barrier a bit later on. Steve picked up my slack where needed.
Demelza O’Sullivan and Liam Woon were terrific and hugely generous. A good day.
As part of the Vamporama shoot mentioned the other day, Steve is playing his usual roving reporter self. This is a frame-grab from an early edit. We have some other stuff to shoot in the coming weeks.
Today we did a photo shoot for a short film entitled “All Bad Things”, based on a story by Steve. The shoot was to create a faux book cover for the movie, featuring the character AJ Grimwood.
Rehearsals & shoot for film itself will be in July. More soon! Meanwhile, here is said faux book cover—photography and Photoshop by me.
A follow-up to this. Now in ever-lovin’ colour!
Video/photo shoot for Liz’s live-action Club Vamporama project today. Dru Stephenson is playing the part of Jenni. Don’t she look terrific? More soon.
As mentioned elsewhere, work is underway on a Club Vamporama live-action teaser/short film, including prelim talks with potential cast members. Liz Black’s characters have been around for ten years now, and a filmed version has been discussed for 4-5 years. Looks like it’s gonna start coming together! 🙂
Anyhow, a poster for a gig by Bette Noir and her band, at everyone’s fave club, is seen in the opening moments of the shooting script and called for some artwork & design to be executed so said poster could be physically printed (size will be around A0). So, Yours Truly did the honours. Here it is. Below the poster is the isolated original art of Bette & Co. Feedback welcome!
