We’ve uploaded some quick snippets from the recent CV shoots (such as this) on YouTube. Feedback more than welcome. 🙂
Things went great, and work is in progress on the complete promo video now, a rough cut of which I made last night. More soon; meanwhile, a character photo and a frame grab featuring Lizzie acting with Steve.
It’s taken a month to get here (from there), but it was worth the wait!
The Sunday shoot was with Melyza Fay playing Jude, Bette Noir’s assistant, as mentioned previously. We filmed the scene at Route 44, part of the superb Inn on the Green, standing in very nicely for Club Vamp itself.
Melyza was terrific, and very helpful to Steve, who doesn’t consider himself an actor per se, even if playing himself (or a version thereof). He had a lot of lines to work with and M gave him some great pointers.
We shoot the final part of this little item with Elizabeth Hastings playing the part of Marie this coming Friday.
Meanwhile, here’s a character shot of Jude and an on-set snap. More soon!!
So we collected an A1 size printed version of the lovely, if I do say so myself, Club Vamporama poster (as seen here) yesterday… it’s now ready in a frame for Sunday’s shoot with Melyza Fay, who will be playing Jude, Bette Noir’s PA and confidante. Voila!
(Excuse quality & reflections. Best I could manage right there. More soon!)
A follow-up to this. Now in ever-lovin’ colour!
Follow-up to this posting. Here’s the inked, toned & coloured cover artwork for the in-progress first PRINT issue of Club Vamporama.
As mentioned elsewhere, work is underway on a Club Vamporama live-action teaser/short film, including prelim talks with potential cast members. Liz Black’s characters have been around for ten years now, and a filmed version has been discussed for 4-5 years. Looks like it’s gonna start coming together! 🙂
Anyhow, a poster for a gig by Bette Noir and her band, at everyone’s fave club, is seen in the opening moments of the shooting script and called for some artwork & design to be executed so said poster could be physically printed (size will be around A0). So, Yours Truly did the honours. Here it is. Below the poster is the isolated original art of Bette & Co. Feedback welcome!
