Club Vamporama Film Poster

As mentioned elsewhere, work is underway on a Club Vamporama live-action teaser/short film, including prelim talks with potential cast members. The characters have been around for ten years now, and a filmed version has been discussed for 4-5 years. Looks like it’s gonna start coming together! 🙂

Anyhow, a poster for a gig by Bette Noir and her band, at everyone’s fave club, is seen in the opening moments of the shooting script and called for some artwork & design to be executed so said poster could be physically printed (size will be around A0). So, Yours Truly did the honours. Here it is. Below the poster is the isolated original art of Bette & Co. Feedback welcome!

“Hail Cthulhu!” Redux

New comics! As some of you know, I stopped doing comics after February 2013. During the hiatus I did some other things, including a few T-shirt designs. Anyhow, right now I’m moving towards a number of new projects, including regular Webcomics and a revival of Club Comicana Vamporama.

Yup, Club Com/Vamp is, as of June 2016, exactly ten years old! To celebrate, there will be two new strips; firstly, a reworking of an older strip, below—to be followed shortly by an all-new one!

Compare & contrast time!

April 2016 Update

Apologies for radio silence! Lots of stuff is coming—not least because I’ve been doing some new artwork and will be reviving my Webcomics activities shortly… important info about that soon.

There will also be another episode of Ghostwords TV—technical problems and being busy with other things has caused delays, but reaction to ep1 has been very positive. Stay tuned.

The Big Issue

An issue I’ve gone back and forth on for a long time and it’s been on my mind to an alarmingly distracting extent recently, including right now in the early hours of Tuesday morning. Employment. The freelance chancing, carefree (ish) hours and alleged freedom vs a boring old salaried job.

Everything about being freelance sounds kinda cool in theory. But it’s only kinda cool if you crack the formula—meaning you never, ever, go a month (or six) enduring a dry spell. Because when it works it’s great; when it doesn’t work it’s a complete bastard.

Hello September

Still grafting on a few things—but not, it must be said, as vigorously as I’d like. The juggling can get a bit confusing sometimes. One thing I want/need to do is work up a sample of an idea I’ve pitched somewhere. One or two pages. The idea is kind of fun if I can find the focus I need.

A Decade

Just realised I missed this blog’s tenth birthday by a few days. But anyway, so it’s ten. That’s either impressive endurance or just depressing because of how quickly it flew by. Probably both, actually.

J&M Kidz

This is an off-the-cuff quickie. If we did a bigfoot strip about Jenni and Marie as kids (they didn’t meet till they were 14 so it’d be an alternate reality!), it would look something like this.
